La Linda Malbec Pairing

Here is what we decided today to pair with today’s dinner– Ada’s Homemade Lasagna.

Our Malbec Pick-

La Linda Special Reserve 2020 Malbec is a premium wine produced by the La Linda winery in Mendoza, Argentina. This wine is made from 100% Malbec grapes, which are sourced from the winery’s estate vineyards in the Luján de Cuyo region of Mendoza. We bought this bottle at the LCBO.

This wine is best paired with hearty dishes such as grilled meats, stews, and strong cheeses. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a sipping wine.

Ada Blythe

Ada— This wine was very full bodied and strong flavoured. I did not enjoy it as much on its own, but with the rich lasagne it was a good pairing!

My rating-

Rick— Darker than most reds when poured, it’s aromas lead me to believe it might be a rather heavy wine, but it’s actually just medium heavy, full of different flavors, and a surprisingly rolled-off finish. Very nice, but I won’t rate it top-shelf. Maybe a bit too bold for lasagna.

My rating-

Ada’s Homemade Lasagna

What wine goes with lasagna

I literally use the recipe from the maker of the pasta- in this case, Catelli Gluten Free Classic Lasagna. The only modification I make is to use way more cheese than what they list.

I find this produces bigger smiles on the faces of those partaking!
